Rami was fantastic at communicating. His door was always open which was very helpful. He also had a genuine desire for the students to understand the material, and he was willing to help anyone who was struggling.

This course was hugely helpful in how I analyze music and has stimulated my interest in other music courses.

All the detailed comments for the composition exercises (especially for counterpoint), it helped me be more conscious of many aspects of my writing.

Most valuable features were probably office hours, the fact that Rami was always ready and willing to help outside of class, and the application of the concepts through homework, as it helped solidify understanding.

The course managed to remain engaging and the Professor tried to keep the class lively. I feel as if I learned a great deal in this course.

I think the assignments were very helpful and all the examples that were taught in the class help me understand the topics more.

Rami was always prepared. I was surprised that this was his first semester teaching! He clearly put a lot of thought into how he would run the class period and what he wanted to cover.

I genuinely enjoyed that Rami made the course fun and also introduced counterpoint into the curriculum. It definitely made the course more challenging but I also learned a lot about past writing. Topics were interesting and engaging. I felt like I learned a lot in this course and really expanded my knowledge of music and composition.

We had a lot of small assignments which were great because it really created hands-on learning to really see your mistakes.

I found the class time to be very effectively used and topics were very well explained in that time. The homework was very helpful in making sure I understood the topics. I also really liked watching the youtube videos, as that really helped me understand how the knowledge I learned could be applied.

I really liked when we looked at examples of what we'd learned in popular pieces of music. I also enjoyed the fact that the instructor usually played chord progressions on piano after writing them or talking about them so that we could get a feel for what these things actually sounded like.

Rami was able to recognize the ability of the class and accommodate for each one of the students and change the curriculum based off of people’s abilities. I thought that was great because it made the course more of a challenge.

Rami is very patient and a great teacher. Go to office hours and he will help you!

Professor Stucky made himself were approachable and available when the material became confusing. He was very willing to spend time to ensure each student understood.

Rami is a great teacher! I'm especially impressed since he's new to teaching. We all understood what he taught and he was very helpful.

Rami is a musical genius. He is very knowledgeable about Music Theory and presents it in a way where all can understand. He has a great sense of humor and really just wants you to learn in a positive environment.

Rami is a fantastic teacher. Also he's the bomb. Would tooootally hang out with him on a Friday night.

Rami was always prepared for class and clearly came in early every day to write elaborate instructions and descriptions on the board. He was well versed in online music writing software and was able to use it efficiently as a teaching tool. However, if you had trouble understanding the way he originally taught the material, it was up to you to find a new way of thinking about it as he wasn't great at explaining subjects in multiple ways. Regardless, Rami was understanding if an assignment needed to be be turned in a little late in order to do better on it and fully comprehend what was asked of us.

Great course. I would absolutely recommend Rami or his class to any of my peers. 

Topics were interesting and engaging. I felt like I learned a lot in this course and really expanded my knowledge of music and composition.

I liked when we did analysis and got in to the nitty gritty of structure and rhythm and why things sound certain ways, I thought it was interesting and engaging.

I liked how diverse each lesson was! It was also cool how we could listen to music from a different "lens" and dissect pieces of it using theory :).

He was very kind and met multiple time with me outside of class hours and made himself very approachable.

I feel like I got a lot of musical knowledge out of this class, and that was really valuable to me, and I think anyone else involved in music would get the same sort of experience.
